The Ekinox2-E Externally Aided Inertial System uses an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) together with data from external equipment to provide a high accuracy, cost-effective inertial system.



The Ekinox2-E Externally Aided Inertial System runs an enhanced on-board Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) in combination with an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) to fuse real-time inertial data with aiding information for the best performance.

Although the unit can be used used as a stand-alone solution, its performance is greatly improved when coupled to external equipment such as navigation, heading and velocity sensors.

The unit can be used in various marine, land and aerospace applications. When used in conjunction with an odometer, a Dual Antenna GNSS receiver, or an RTK GPS solution, it will supply you with accurate car’s position and trajectory, which will even work in environments that are GPS challenging. This would allow you to analyze car motion, geo-reference point clouds or images, or control an Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV).
