Overview

The 1775 IMU is KVH Industries’ most high-performance inertial measurement unit available, built to be used in the most demanding navigational applications. It uses two extremely compact fiber optic gyroscopes — the DSP 1750 and the DSP 1760 — in concert with low-noise accelerometers and powerful magnetometers. The result is a powerful IMU system that delivers accurate results while preventing magnetic interference. You want high bandwidth without significant drift or latency, the 1775 IMU is the choice for you.

At just under 0.07 kilograms and with flexible interface options, the compact design of the 1775 IMU is easily integrated into existing systems when the time comes to upgrade the inertial measurement capabilities and performance. And its solid-state construction means that it will continue to deliver consistently accurate and reliable results for years to come. Apart from the usual IMU applications, this unit is also perfect for extreme conditions that present a challenge to most other units. It can stand up to mining and drilling operations, pipeline inspection, and thanks to its built-in magnetometers it can even compensate in environments with powerful magnetic fields.
