Overview

The IMU-ISA-100C IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) by NovAtel offers high performance when it is paired with the companys SPAN receiver. It is equipped with temperature compensated MEMS (Micro Electromechanical Systems) accelerometers and fiber optic gyros, and offers enhanced 3D navigation.

The SPAN technology, which is short for Synchronous Position, Attitude and Navigation, combines inertial navigation and GNSS positioning, and provides highly accurate and reliable results, even at times when signal reception is weak.

Furthermore, NovAtels CORRECT technology allows users to set the level of performance and accuracy of their choice, which ranges from decimeter to RTK-level. For applications that require even more accurate results, post-processing software such as the Inertial Explorer can be used.
