The Apogee-A: High Accuracy Motion Sensor is a highly accurate Motion Reference Unit (MRU). Based on robust and cost-effective MEMS technology, the Apogee-A provides precise orientation and heave data.
The Apogee-A from SBG Systems offers an affordable and precise motion sensor system by utilizing IMU calibration, testing and filtering for one of the highest precision MRU systems that is accessible for any surveying company. For added easiness, there is no need to input the wave frequency since this system detects it automatically and corrects itself as needed.
The Apogee-A includes an exclusive delayed heave piece that doesn’t require any additional software. This particular algorithm permits a more detailed calculation, resulting in a heave accuracy up to 5 cm, which is shown in real-time with a minimum delay.
