SBG Systems Ekinox-U is a high-end underwater Inertial Navigation System designed especially for underwater applications. It performs up to 6,000 meters below the water surface. Internal data logger, advanced Extended Kalman Filter, and Inertial Measurement Unit are combined in the device.
Ekinox-M is conceived to provide high performance at affordable cost. Its dual antenna GPS provides pitch, roll, delayed heave, heading, and attitude data. It can be hooked up to different kinds of aiding equipment to perform reliable and accurate navigation.
There are several Ethernet and serial ports as well as a web interface. Titanium or stainless steel can be selected for the durable housing. The unit operates reliably in very high and low temperatures.
The Extended Kalman Filter combines aiding information (such as DVL and GPS) with real-time inertial data, which ensures trustworthy ROV and AUV navigation.
