The navigation system of the Ekinox2-U utilizes an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) and an enhanced on-board EKF (Extended Kalman Filter). The device can be used in conjunction with several types of auxiliary equipment to provide accurate navigation that is always reliable.
With its new gyroscopes and accelerometers, the attitude accuracy of the Ekinox2 has been doubled. The Ekinox2 also boasts a Price / Performance / Size ratio that is unrivaled in the industry.
Up to 4 types of auxiliary equipment can be connected to the Ekinox2-U:

This Subsea INS is simple to install, connect, and configure as it has no limitations on its mounting orientation, supports multiple Ethernet and serial ports, and sports an internal Web interface. The Ekinox2-U is available in a titanium enclosure, allowing it to operate up to a depth of 6,000m. To guarantee high data integrity in all conditions, each product is shipped with its own calibration report, showing the calibration from -20 °C to 60 °C.

This INS performs up to a depth of 6,000m and uses the latest state-of-the-art MEMS sensors to offer a highly accurate and robust underwater navigation solution in a cost-effective, compact package. The Extended Kalman Filter embedded in the unit combines real-time inertial data with additional information (GPS, DVL, etc.) for AUVs and ROV reliable navigation.
The Ekinox2-U offers delayed heave, orientation and position on four monitoring points. The sealed enclosure is perfectly suitable for marine applications such as Offshore or Hydrography. This INS is highly robust and could be mounted under your boat, or on its surface if you want to attach the motion sensor permanently. Ekinox sensors are compatible with most popular hydrographic software such as QPS, Hypack and Teledyne PDS.
