The STIM210 MEMS gyro module from Sensonor, with up to 3 axis, is an affordable and tactical grade gyro that provides ultra-high performance. It is a tactical grade, ITAR free solution with an integrated 32-bit microcontroller that enables flexible user configuration.



The Sensonor STIM210 is a tactical grade MEMS gyro that provides excellent performance even while dealing with intense vibration and shock. It comes in a small package containing 1, 2 or 3 high accuracy MEMS-based gyros. Each axis is factory-calibrated individually for bias, sensitivity and compensated for temperature effects to provide highly accurate measurements.

The STIM210 communication is achieved via a standard RS422 interface, while a 32 bit RISC ARM microcontroller provides flexible configuration, including things such as RS422 bit-rate and protocol parameters, LP filter -3dB frequency, sample rate and output unit. All configurable parameters can be specified when ordering, or set by the user.

On powering up, the STIM210 performs an internal system check and synchronizes the gyros. Once powered up the device will automatically provide measurement data. The STIM210 has standard electronic axis alignment and uses an integrated 32-bit microcontroller to enable flexible user configuration. Measurement data is transmitted as data packages in binary coded format. Full error checking is built into the communications protocol, and any errors will be flagged.

A Service Mode is provided for advanced users. This enables configuration parameters to be changed. The Service Mode is user friendly and allows for the use of terminal-type software during typical product integration. Service Mode also enables single measurements and diagnostics to be performed, and a higher detail level of error reporting to be obtained.
