The Stonex SR02 is a high power, external UHF radio modem for transmitting RTK corrections from a GNSS receiver. The
transmission power can be selected by the user from 0.5W to 2W reaching distances up to 10 km. The radio has numerous settings that can define communication protocols, channel width and transmission frequency, making it fully compatible with other external radio modems or giving it the ability to be integrated with a GNSS receiver.
The SR02 modem is used to transmit RTK corrections from a base station, but it can also be used as a radio receiver. In addition, the retransmission function can be activated and the radio placed between a base and a rover increasing the coverage area of the RTK correction.
The connection of the SR02 radio with a GNSS receiver is done via serial port or via Bluetooth. Through Bluetooth mode, the SR02 radio can transform the receiver into a RTK rover receiver (network only) to work in the base/rover configuration. The Stonex S70G, S580 and S700A GNSS receivers can be connected to the SR02 radio via Bluetooth without external cables.
It is possible to use the PC software to interface with the radio allowing for quick and easy configuration. Through the integrated display, it is also possible to easily modify the configuration of the radio in the field.
