The Trimble BD940 currently supports dual frequency from Galileo and BeiDou, as well as triple frequency from the GLONASS and GPS constellations, but is also ready to use additional signals as the number of satellites in the constellations increase. This provides centimeter positioning with quick, reliable RTK AND RTX initializations. If centimeter accuracy is not required, the BD940 uses its advanced kalman filter PVT engine to deliver high accuracy DGNSS and GNSS positions.
The unit is dependable and rugged, and was designed to integrate easily through its onboard Ethernet connectivity, together with USB and RS-232 ports. Integration is simplified through software commands, resulting in reduced development times.
The module is available in different configurations, including an autonomous GPS L1 unit and a RTK unit that can handle four constellations at triple frequencies. Fault Detection and Exclusion (FDE), as well as Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring (RAIM) is also supported.
The Trimble BD940 GNSS receiver module can easily be embedded in mobile platforms as a high quality, small footprint solder-down module. The internal shielding protects GNSS signals from host platform EMI sources.
