Overview

The Trimble BD992-INS uses its integrated inertial sensors to produce robust, high accuracy positions in all environments. This unit currently supports triple frequencies from the Galileo, BeiDou, GLONASS and GPS constellations, but is also ready to use additional signals as the number of satellites in the constellations increase. This delivers reliable RTK initializations quickly for centimeter positioning.

If centimeter accuracy is not required, the GNSS-Inertial engine incorporated in the BD992-INS delivers high accuracy DGNSS and GNSS positions in difficult environments, including urban canyons.

The unit also features 2 x 336 tracking channels, advanced RF spectrum monitoring and analysis, low-elevation tracking technology and multipath mitigation. When RTX or OmniSTAR services are used, the BD992-INS delivers various levels of accuracy without having to use a base station.

The Trimble BD992-INS was designed for dependability and easy integration. The Ethernet connectivity that is available on the board allows high speed configuration and data transfer using any of a number of standard web browsers. USB, CAN and RS-232 ports are also available. Just like with other Trimble products, the easy to use software commands makes integration simple and reduces development time dramatically.
