Introduction
The CSI Wireless SBX-3B DGPS Beacon Module is a Medium Frequency radiobeacon DGPS OEM engine that augments a separate GPS receiver with free accuracy-improving correction data from networks of stations located throughout the world. The resulting positioning accuracy of the GPS receiver will be between one and five meters 95 per cent of the time, depending on the GPS receiver architecture and its sophistication. The SBX-3B delivers high-performance reception and a wide range of functionality, for a truly unbeatable price.
The SBX-3B incorporates a dual-channel architecture to ensure the best station is always being decoded. The SBX-3B outputs the resulting data in the industry standard RTCM SC-104 format accepted by differential-ready GPS receivers. To configure and monitor receiver status, the SBX-3B also supports the NMEA 0183 protocol.
Within a custom integration, the SBX-3B requires a continuous source of 5 VDC power, mechanical mounting, an antenna input, and possibly serial port level translation depending on specific requirements. The SBX-3B may be used in conjunction with the MBA-3, MBL-3, MGL-3, AVL-1 or CDA-3 antennas.
The SBX-3B is integrated within the CSI Wireless ABX-3, MBX-3S, SBA-1, GBX Series, DGPS MAX, SLXg3 COMBO and among numerous OEM customers' products. It is available to OEM customers interested in complementing their GPS solution with a reliable source of differential correction.
