CDGPS

CDGPS (Canadian Differential Global Positioning System) is the Canada-Wide DGPS Correction Service. Initially developed for the Canadian positioning market, this wide area Differential GPS service is a partnership between all provinces, Nunavut and the federal government. It provides unmatched accuracy and coverage for positioning applications throughout Canada, with collateral equivalent benefits extending across North America.

Correction data - based on world-class algorithms developed by Natural Resources Canada and positioning data from Canadian and IGS reference stations - is distributed in real-time via MSAT communication satellite which can be accessed using CDGPS-enabled GPS receivers or legacy MSAT CDGPS radios. The correction data is optimized for North America, resulting in superior metre-level accuracy with mapping grade, single frequency GPS receivers and sub-metre accuracy with dual frequency technology.
