The Duro Inertial was designed and built to survive long-term, outdoor deployments, and combines military ruggedness with centimeter-accurate positioning.
The unit combines Swift Navigation’s Starling Positioning Engine and the Carnegie Robotics LLC (CRL’s) SmoothPose sensor fusion algorithm. This delivers a robust and continuous positioning system for numerous applications, even when there is little to no GNSS visibility.
Duro Inertial is packaged in an IP67 ruggedized enclosure and leverages design principles typically used in military-grade hardware. This protects the unit against moisture, weather, dust, vibration and water immersion.
Duro Inertial uses SmoothPose to blend raw inertial sensor measurements from the on-board IMU with the velocity, position and time solution provided by the positioning engine. This enables it to provide a positioning solution in challenging RTK / GNSS environments with smoother trajectory and higher availability.
Applications that need precise positioning at all times and everywhere can depend on Duro Inertial, as it utilizes RTK technology in conjunction with standard GNSS to provide a solution that is 100 times more accurate than standard GNSS solutions.
The M12 connectors used are industry standard and sealed. This balances ruggedness and user-friendliness perfectly. Integrations are made simple and easy through several interfaces, including RS232, CAN and Ethernet.
