Overview
The NovAtel SPAN on FlexPak6 receiver encases the SPAN on OEM628 receiver. This allows the SPAN on FlexPak6 receiver to track GLONASS and GPS signals, as well as future signals such as Compass and Galileo. The small receiver is equipped with a powerful GNSS engine, allowing it to be used in a wide range of applications, including rover and base station applications.
The SPAN (Synchronous Position, Attitude and Navigation) technology integrates the GNSS technology with the Inertial Navigation Systems to deliver continuous and precise 3D results during short periods of signal interruption. Furthermore, the modular design of its firmware allows the SPAN on FlexPak6 receiver to be upgraded easily to include features such as RT-2, ALIGN, L-Band, GL1DE, NTRIP, API and RAIM.
The SPAN on FlexPak6 receiver uses the innovative PAC (Pulse Aperture Coorelator) technology to reduce interferences caused by multipath, which often occurs in environments that contain reflective surfaces, e.g. buildings.
