Overview
The IMU-IGM-S1 from NovAtel is a compact, feather-weight MEMS IMU housing for use with the company’s Synchronous Position, Attitude and Navigation (SPAN) technology.
The technology combines the accuracy of GNSS positioning with GNSS positioning accuracy with Inertial measurement Unit accelerometer and gyroscope measurement stability. Thus 3D navigation is always available even when satellite signals may be blocked.
The IMU-IGM-S1 enclosure is the lightest and smallest in the company’s product portfolio. It also is a sturdy platform for building the SPAN application.
AdvanceR RTK by NovAtel enhances accuracy and real-time performance. More demanding applications are handled by the manufacturer’s Inertial Explorer software, which is included in its Waypoint product group. Waypoint post processes SPAN information for exceptionally high accuracy.
